Everybody calls it the tilde key but in fact its the grave key (`)
Ctr+` will give you full screen playback on the first monitor.

Some people have trouble ingesting avchd.
So for those it is important to copy entire card to harddrive and then ingest via Media Browser.

If your machine can handle it edit natively.

Because you choose the wrong setting.
If you want mp4 you choose H.264 as format
If its for a mac set it to Quicktime and the codec Animation.

Try formatting the card in the camera and then make some test shots.
See how that will work.

I have a 2009 imac and my 7100 files run just perfectly.

Turn off Use Previews. They produce files with a codec of less quality.

You can open CS5 projects in CC, but my advice would be finish in CS5 and start fresh in CC.

If you have CC14 follow instructions as per Michael Yu but instead of using a Garbage Matte use the Opacity Mask option. This you can feather. Garbage Matte you cannot. Well you can but with a workaround.
