YOu can burn the pdf to dvd as dvd rom but you wont be able to open on a tv only on a computer.

If you drop this interlaced footage in a interlaced sequence with upper field and the display mode to first field and you are seeing interlaced artifacts I am guessing the file is not as it should be. Fields have been messed about.
BTW i cannot get Jims program to work properly either.

Make new project and import old one into this new one.
Export again. If you are using the Queue use Export or v.v.
Change vbr to cbr or v.v.
Change vbr2 to vbr1 or v.v.
All these things are worth a try.

No you cannot. But if the person were to export the project as an xml you could open it.
Might loose a few features.

I would update to the latest version of 2017.
