Project settings should always be the same as the footage regardless the output.

Just copy and paste between projects.
You cannot have more than one project open.
Another way is to import a whole project into another project and delete what you do not want.
In CS4 you do not have to import the whole project but you can select items.

Make the project the same size as the footage which is dv then render to flv, it is quite good.

Watch your rendered avchd files op your pc with Power DVD ultra, it automatically deinterlaces your footage.
No need to make it into a BluRay disk or dvd first just change the extention from m4v to m2ts.
