I can change the seq names to short code of some sort… but would love to know what the bugs were? i.e is it only 256 characters .. or ??? characters or something else? from top tree to bottom pre comp… Anyone know? February 28, 2014 at 3:29 pm in reply to: Archiving motion generators WITH FCPX 10.1 libraries and relinking. If I drag the generators I made and (have been copied into the motion templates ) into the timeline they work, but the original same generators that I placed on the timeline when on the other machine still don’t link and work. so no relinking and still box and triangle box and grey and white triangle. and not rendering.
If I try and copy the attributes of the original, I can replace the information of most of the original file, but not the “start end duration.’ I have to use the info to re edit this.
Is there any way to get a clip to match the exact end start duration .? as well as copy all attributes ? there seems no copy function for this. If I could edit the info panel to match they would be exact.
ITS not a good solution as its manual. and I delete the original generators, But for ref … there may be problems relinking generators.
Thanks for all your help

February 5, 2014 at 5:40 pm in reply to: Changed of graphics card on Mac Pro2009 !! now SSD??Thanks for all your advice… I had never head of stripped arrays. and I am looking into them more in google. So I understand it. Also the rack enclosure would give me loads more space..
I think also the main boot drive could be a basic SSD 250 … and then the rest standard stripped arrays.
I could also try out the 2 2TB drives as stripped array as they are identical to try out the system..with what I have already. Thanks a bunch.
