motion generators work flow between machines
Hi…
Just used a couple of motion generators in a project. Added into FCPXs generator library.
Finished and moved the library of my video onto my “archives” on a drive of another computer.
Just to check that the project had all the clips I opened it again and all seemed fine …. and no warning triangle. But when it rendered it did not render the section with the motion generators. I got RED clips though when I looked closely for these small files. Could easily be missed. Seems a bug if the warning triangle does not show. !!! as they were no where to be found obviously. … as they were on the master computer I use in the motion folder.
So… how can I save save these generator generated clips in the timelines so they that remain as clips not just refs to generators on another computer. They sort of should be “bounced” or flattened” when archiving if you get what I mean, so the whole project is complete for archives for future retrieval.
It means I have to be very carful not to delete motion generators, and these were very specific to the project, but possible on other projects…. it was smoke.and fireworks.!!!
The obvious answer is for me to make a folder of these motion generations and archive with the library…. or am i missing something here that I am not doing workflow correctly?Thanks for all your help
