2) Use Plural Eyes, should work fine to sync the waveforms of each set of audio unless it’s really chopped up/pre-edited heavily. If the latter is the case then you’re out of luck.——————–

If a version of a driver is causing you issues, report it to nVidia and Adobe as a bug, skip the update, roll back to an earlier driver version, and get back to work.

1. Native import has no bearing on quality as no additional rendering is done. There are workflows that allow you to pre-render your timeline and then use those pre-renders as the basis for your export; this type of workflow may lend to generation loss and isn’t recommended unless you’re doing something like a client preview or using a smart rendered codec like ProRes or Avid DNxHD.
2. Not sure I understand this. As the quality isn’t affected by native importing, unless you are having editing performance issues there is no reason to convert footage be it uncompressed or otherwise.

THe AME CC preset is 2 pass. I don’t have CS6 installed but if the Youtube presets were single pass then this may account for some if not most of the additional time.

July 28, 2013 at 5:09 pm in reply to: stereo clip in double audio tracks but does not play stereoYou do not need to put the mixer in write mode. Since you are keeping pans in one setting there is no need to automate, unless I’m missing something. You can turn automation fully off or (if you’re automating other things) then delete the pan keyframes you’ve created.

July 28, 2013 at 4:22 pm in reply to: Large composite image/panorama from scrolling videoCreate a comp that is one pixel tall and however many pixels wide. This slit will basically be the apex of the curve/center section of the frame you’re showing us. Render out a frame sequence and you have a sequence of one pixel long slits, the amount of images in the sequence is also the long dimension of your panorama.
I would assume from there you could do some stacking/alignment in Photoshop by creating an image sized to your height x number of images in sequence and hitting “distribute alignment”
Just a thought.

Lewis,
Premiere will map 0-100 IRE values to full 0-255 RGB (in some instances you can have luma values above and below because of some filters and floating point math but most codecs will clamp above and below). In other words, Premiere is designed so you don’t need to worry about the 16-235 rule for titles and so on.
With that in mind, my educated guess is to export RGB if you want a wysiwyg result when migrating to/from Avid. I’ve yet to extensively test the workflow so take it with a grain of salt.

July 27, 2013 at 8:45 pm in reply to: Premiere Pro CC – Can’t Manipulate any Audio within One Specific TrackOh, you just have track keyframing turned on. This allows you to keyframe a track rather than a clip but it also blocks clip movement. Under the label, “Audio 4” on the left, click the keyframe (diamond) and select clip keyframes.
