I’m not, but it looks interesting. For the price, the ability to do DCP packages is a steal. On the surface, it seems like a similar concept to Sorrenson Squeeze; Squeeze really only catering to delivery codecs.

What version of Premiere, how much Ram, and tell me exactly how you’re importing the images (drag and drop?) and exactly what the error message is.

I just popped open Premiere CS6 and created a 6000x6000px sequence without an issue… Premiere is very flexible when it comes to resolutions.

Try this:

-Import a card
-Find a file that is corrupt within Premiere
-Run an MD5 or CRC checksum on that file on your hard drive and on your memory card (google an MD5 or CRC checksum utility, they”re all over the place)

If the checksums mismatch then you’re having errors in the file transfer. You may have a bad card reader, USB cable, and so on. I would suggest grabbing Shotput Pro since it does data transfer with checksum validation.

If the checksums match, I would check for firmware updates for the camera or run some kind of utility to check the integrity of your CF card.

I’m confused… if you’re capturing into one system then why isn’t your friend plugging into the mixer if you know that patches in successfully?

I assume you’re using the mixer to take your mic as well as the RCA left/right input from your console, then you feed it to the Intensity Pro.

Am I missing something here?

What is the size of your composition (video size), what quality are you rendering (full, 1/2, 1/4) and how much ram does your system have.

If you need to render a specific point of the video, move the play head and in the ram preview panel uncheck render from beginning.

Also, what version of After Effects do you have, and is it fully up to date in terms of updates and patches?

I’m assuming you mean 23.976 and 29.97. If you did conform/interpret the footage then off the top of my head, to bring it back to real time it’s 125% exactly.

What format is it in now (frame size, framerate, and codec) and do you have any guidelines for the delivery format for the master? It sounds like you’re sending it off to someone. Also, why the nitpicking of 18 gigs over 15? Both would equally fit on a single blu-ray disc or are you trying to use a 16 gig thumb drive?

I’m a bit confused to how you’re presenting your problem.

Tell me this, you have a video clip in the timeline in Premiere, what is your goal? What do you need to do to process it?

I ask because it sounds like you’ve dynamically linked a clip from Premiere to After Effects and trying to drag that back to Premiere? Depending on how you’re doing it, there are combinations that don’t work so I’d rather give you a new piece of rope (a new workflow) than try and untangle what you have already based on your end goal.

Are you using the multitrack mode? You Enable one track for recording, record it, disable recording, move to the next track and enable it for recording. As you record you will also hear the previously recorded track.

If you do not have some audio hardware designed properly for audio recording you may experience latency up to a few hundred milliseconds. When you play back both tracks they may be slightly off beat and you’ll have to manually nudge them to match.
