I know it sucks when everything is not fully functioning. I love all the options I have with the Intensity Shuttle. Having said that the Blackmagic Design drivers can be buggy. Try downloading a different driver and see if it helps. Also some NLE will offer more options than what the 3rd party cards are supposed offer. The video links below demonstrates that.

You can render out a 60P version using ME or Premiere and email it to the client to watch on their computer or burn them a 1080i Blu-ray version for viewing it on a TV. Some people even post to YouTube or their website. There are many ways to let the client view the work in progress.

The color, composition and motion will look different on broadcast equipment. If it will be broadcast set up a 1080i timeline/sequence in Premiere Pro because most shows are broadcast with interlacing. You can drop 30P and 60P video clips into the interlaced timeline/sequence and it will playback very smooth. If you have interlaced video the Blackmagic Design products are money well spent. Interlaced video looks great on broadcast equipment but it never looks good on a computer screen. The video below might be worth watching.

Is it USB 2 or USB 3.1 2nd gen? The website site says “USB 3.1 Gen 2 (up to 10 Gbps)”. It is not as fast a Thunderbolt 3 but there is a decent amount of bandwidth there. Enough for 4, 5, 6 even 7 hard drives striped together. 12 hard drives striped together would create a bottle neck.

Where your project tab is you need to click on the icon to the right. It looks like 4 lines. Where it gives you the option to display thumbnails you probably have preview area selected. With preview area enable Premiere can output to third party hardware. It is kind of like hoverscrub for the database mode.
