I’ve never tried Plural Eyes for FCPX, but I know it was pathetically slow in FCP7. However, I’m not sure if Plural is actually faster than X itself, particularly if you use the marker technique to speed things up.
But for advice, I’d definitely sync them in X as individual sections rather than being tied down to one massive multiclip out of Plural Eyes.

Don’t use Plural Eyes to make your multiclips. You have the same functionality in FCPX with more flexibility about what you do and don’t include.

According to Larry Jordan, custom metadata fields (and probably custom views) are stored in the Event database. So if you copy the event to another computer, you should have access to those views and fields.

FCPX can work with different frame rates in the same multicam. It uses the most numerous frame rate as the base for the multiclip and applies pulldown to the others. You shouldn’t have a problem with slippage with your 25fps clip. However, it’s obviously not best practices so tread carefully. If you convert your 25fps clip to 23.98 outside the program and then try to relink it to the original angle in the multiclip, you may get sync issues depending on whether FCPX thinks the file is still 25fps.

This is not possible (or not supposed to be possible) with video clips. What kind of clip (format, eg.) are you using? Have you tried resetting the transform button in the inspector? Or deleting the preferences? Are you sure you’re not accidentally selecting an empty text layer above your video layer?
Basically, this shouldn’t be happening.

I kinda work on audio roughly as I go. The first thing I attempt, around the time of my radio edit, to do is create a base level for my dialogue/narration (ie: main audio). I take clips and get them in the neighborhood of unity (usually between -6 and -12 db). Then I tend to ignore broll audio until later in the cut unless it’s extremely loud. Then I just quickly drop it down so I don’t have to hear it.
After I’ve gotten a more thorough cut, I go back through and mix my broll audio relative to my dialogue. Then I mix in music and sfx the same way. This is where I do any keyframing of audio. At the fine cut stage, I go back through, tweak my keyframes and levels until I’m happy with the mix.
This is all presuming that you’re the one doing the final mix. If it’s going to an outside mixer, then I just do a rough mix, enough to get through notes because whatever keyframing and levels I set are going to be redone by the audio guy.

Ah yes, Pro Tools. That program I don’t own and can’t really use. heaven forbid I want to just apply a couple different audio plugins to my offline cut. I’m on MC7 so I’m aware of track-based RTAS effects. Unfortunately, it’s completely impractical to dedicate an entire track for one clip.
It’s sad really that Avid struggles so much with providing simple solutions for a simple problem. Need to put to audio effects on a single clip? Just do an audio mixdown, use a dedicated track, or bring it in to pro tools. By all means, don’t just allow users to step into audio clips the way they step into video clips.

There is literally no way for any of us on the forum to have any idea exactly what you know or do not know regarding FCPX and your workflow. If you don’t tell us at the beginning, then what most of us (like Bill in this case) try to do is offer suggestions that may prove more useful or time-saving than what you’re trying to do based on the info we’ve been given. Especially since, in this case, the short answer is that the range selection cannot blade both ends of a clip so you can disable with a single keystroke.
The reason for the other options or workflows is because people read this forum to learn. For people who are trying things out and aren’t sure, these proposed workflows often give people a way of working on a project. You shouldn’t be offended that replies to your queries offer suggestions that don’t work with how you want to work. They may apply to someone else.
If you are really interested in specifically directing the answers to your question, then I would consider over-sharing about why any other method won’t work for you in order to head off those suggestions. That way, the suggestion still makes it on the thread for those looking for it and since you brought it up and discarded it, no one else will bother.

If that’s it, it doesn’t look that much different. Aside from tweaking the colors and clip representations, it looks pretty close to the same.

If you’re editing images out of image sequences, then you need to rename your images when you delete individual files from the stack so that they remain in sequence. There are a number of free, bulk rename programs out there that can do this quickly and easily.
