if you need an image in perspective view, better using a background object or a textured polygon i think

ok, i dunno how you managed to get an image in the perspective view (its greyed out for me). Your file didnt seem to work at all so I used your images and made another. Does this work for you?

is this how you’re loading in the ref images? tried in a fresh scene? upload a scene (just ref images) and I can have a deeks.

is that the speed graph or the value graph? and it don’t look flat there’s some value there

maybe put value + (”pickwhip”) where ”pickwhip” is the pickwhippin you already did, That should enable you to move the layer about again.

Sorry no, maybe you can use the mesh checker – attributes window, mode>modeling>mesh checker, then use that to select, if it works. Or maybe use phong select then invert? Im guessing sorry

i cant see any way to make it work with an array no. I made a thing, its not very flexible and may not be any good but here you go! The workflow would be, make an object, use the duplicate command (or just cmd+d a load) have all copies under a null. use expresso to iterate through them, then multipy the index with user data/ constant value to create an offset to distribute our ‘clones’!
Hacky but maybe something to start with, maybe? no? sorry 😪

not my area really, but, one way may be to, for example, make say 10 cubes, put under a null and then use xpresso to iterate through them and create offsets etc. As far as I know xpresso cant create geometry though. Even though you have no MG tools, isn’t there still arrangement tools under the ‘tools’ menu? like array etc…

that would depend on your geometry. You cant colour half a polygon this way. Better off using a gradient applied across your geometry in the shader. If it has to be poly selections, then the geometry must align to where you want the colours to change
