The tapes are recorded without timecode, any tape can be recorded without time code.

ScenalyzerLive works with windows 7 so I got a work around. The regular Scenalyzer crashed the second I tried to scan by optics.

Elements can’t be to brand new, as it has the feature in v7 and 8 is what is on the website, its disappointing is all I am saying. You know hundreds of dollars compared to 80…

And unfortunately HDVsplit doesnt help as I am just doing SD footage, I did download it though and it seems like a nice program!

Exactly pro should be better than elements, as it is a pro version….

And I tried Scenalyzer and it doesn’t seem to work on windows 7. I haven’t tried the live version yet.

Ann, that’s the conclusion I have been coming too. Which is extremely illogical and confusing seeing as premiere elements apparently has it.

Sorry I am in CS4, and as for CS4 this is how you do scene detect if there is timecode breaks. I am looking to do it without timecode breaks, but instead by content!

Thats a cool feature and all, but double render times is definitely a step back in both times and space. Is there a way to make it so a exact same sequence, doesn’t need to be rendered twice? Or a way to locate render files?

Yeah thats what im getting at, I know the lubrication is the problem between sony and panasonic tapes. Which is why I stick with Panasonic, but i want to know the difference between the types panasonic offers.

I use to play Garfield’s tennis team. I graduated from Manchester in 2003.

When I say to shoot 4:3 and make widescreen in post I am meaning just that. Where I went to school, a lot of people felt that widescreen gives video a certain feel. So shoot full screen add bars in post, and then do some track motion in after effects or what have you. Since you are adding the bars and getting rid of a fourth of the screen. You will have a fourth of the screen to work with for motion stabilizing.
