    Hey,
Usually you edit to the music, in this case I comped some of the graphics then designed the music mix with sound effects etc. Then matched up the visuals.

Think about when editing a bunch of cuts to a snappy drum fill, you wouldn’t make the cuts then try to line the audio up, instead match the visuals to the audio. Now of course rules are meant to be broken, so when all visual and audio are available you can make additional changes but think about those really complicated 3d commercials that jump all around. I imagine storyboards or place holders were used for editing and timing purposes, then the animation was matched accordingly.

Yes the tutorials are on the download version, and if you ever lose the download info, you can always contact us and we’ll track it down for you.

I spoke with him and he gladly removed some of the questionable content and he has since updated his site with his own original content.

I do appreciate you pointing this site out, it is important to address things like this.

Well, one low cost suggestion would be to check out Riot Gear:
    https://www.videocopilot.net/riotgear.html

It comes with 5 video tutorials not available online and they’re pretty funny too, if I do say so myself.

You can trust me I’m not in any way associated with them ; )

I’ll be at NABBY for sure. Probably spending at least one whole day at the COW booth. Other than that, I’ll probably be roaming around.

    Definetly stop by.

    I got my copy!

If I may go on the record here. The name was always changing. I had 3 names at least before finally changing it to Riot Gear, a week before announcing it.

One name that was first considered was Organic FX…

Then after hours of using my trusty thesaurus with words like anarchy and messy etc, Riot came up and I instantly thought of “Riot Gear”. True story.

Why, Thank you Jon! It was a difficult product to describe at first and it really seems like people are “getting it”. (thank goodness)

The firt tutorial talks about how to use the pre-matted elements and how to incorporate them into your own work with track mattes and transfer modes etc.

Then there are 4 Motion Graphics Tutorials that demonstrate actual designs using visual elements from the collection.

There are some samples of the final comps at the bottom of the page and the promo video uses only elements from the Riot Gear collection as well.

    Cheers,
    Andrew Kramer

PS, thanks again Jon, this product plug couldn’t have worked out better! 🙂
