Joseph, that video on Adobe TV was almost exactly what i was looking for and it has defo helped me out of a hole.
-On a side note, for an offical Adobe tutorial style video it was pretty poorly done! Although i learned what i needed, i would have though Adobe would have at least invested in some screen capture software, which they might even make themselves..?!!Anyway, back on point!
Thanks alot for your help, and for anyone looking for something slightly more reallistic than the old y-axis flip trick I’d defo try this!
Thanks again, i love the cow!

Yowza!
Thanks for the replies folks, heaps of good info there.Im a bit ashamed that I didn’t know anything about camera rigs, but they look well helpful.
I have checked out VC’s stuff in the past and its cool, but I agree with the feeling that its good to learn how/why these things work properly (to really free your creativity, etc, etc).Im gonna get right in about that Maltannon Camera Rig, it looks great.
And I actually cant wait to master those moves i always shyed away from!
Cheers again guys…

Thanks for your replies.
The 2D to 3D rotoscoping thing is cool and i like it. Ive done that before and it always looks great.
Ben, Im not from the US so not really aware of the PBS docos you mention.
Ive googled them with little success, but i’ll have a better look around later on.Thanks for your suggestions, more welcome!!

Thanks guys,
I have been playing with Mocha a fair bit, and can do the basic corner pin tracking easy enough, but was struggling to make it work with the shots i have.
I’ll have a look at that tutorial, it might throw up a few little nuggets to help me out.
I’ll keep plugging away with Mocha…
Thanks again!

Thanks for the reply, but i don’t think i made myself very clear.
I usually export multiple files to the same location and FCP/compressor used to remember the previous location, but i have to navigate my way back everytime now.
So, If i have to export 10 movie or audio files, each time the destination box appears, it defaults back to the root (Macintosh HD) folder instead of the last folder i saved to.
Cheers.

Are you applying the flare to an adjustment layer?
If you are, then you’ll need something underneath it, even if its just a black solid.

Thanks for your replies…guys.
Im pretty sure I never use openGL. never knew what it meant TBH.
I do use multiprocessing tho, I’ll try switching it off.Don’t get me wrong here, its not really all that bad. Not anywhere near like having the layer quality switch toggled, its just something that kinda pisses me off (oops, can i swear here?!).
My comp settings are usually 720×576 16:9, but i have tried square pixel ones and nothing seems to help really.
Its nice to see that im probably doing something wrong and its not the effect’s problem…
Thanks!
Andrew.

Hey guys,
Thanks for the replies.
Looks like the best way is to match move it. Thats kinda what I was thinking of doing, but it was the director who put interpolating-morph ideas into my head.
I had a wee peek at syntheyes and at first glance it looks pretty awesome, Its maybe a little more than i need for this shoot, but worth it for the future no doubt.@ Dave: that hollywood camera work website is awesome! thanks heaps.
@ Paul: Im having a look at that plugin now…
Thanks for all the suggestions. This place is real nice.
Andrew.
