Brian is right, you can only preview on your camera screen or you need to use a capture card.

You can bring a .obj into PhotoShop as a 3d object and then open that in AE. That would get it in but it won’t do lights in AE you would need to set them up in PhotoShop. The other alternative to try (I haven’t actually used this one but I believe it should work) is to import it into AE vie zaxwerks proanimator or invigorator that should then give you better control and better lighting even if you need to set the lights up in zaxwerks.

Alternatively, you could animate in 3ds max and output an image sequence with alpha from that and import the image sequence to AE.

    Hope this helps

    Hi Dion
There is a synthetic aperture forum and Bob is very good at answering in there, I would post this in that forum to start with.
    Hope this helps

    Hi Larry

I’m with Vince, I use camtasia for all my tutorials. You also get a free 30 day trial with camtasia to see if you like it or not. Blueberry software also does a slightly cheeper screen recording package Flashback Express (free) and pro, but I don’t think they are as good having tried them out first.

However, if you don’t care about pan and zoom etc Flashback Express is a good free choice.

    Hi Aaron
I completely understand, it is hard to find the money for all these wonderful plug-ins! But when you have $99.90 for the pro version …

All the best with your project

If you double click on the text layer it give you the text tool and highlights all the text on that layer ready to edit. If you want to make a small change select the text tool and click at the point you want to make the change to un-highlight all the text and to give you an insertion point.

January 20, 2011 at 9:12 am in reply to: Best Method for removing Noise with AE?

    Hi Aaron
I know it’s another 3rd party plug-in but Neat Video is probably the best out there for noise reduction. In fact I am working on a tutorial now on noise reduction using some night shot dark footage with lots of noise.

Once you have a good noise profile you can then save the profile for the camera in that mode and easily apply it and fine tune it to other clips shot with the same camera in the same mode with very little effort.

    Hope this helps
