Jeremy,
As said I know why this happens.
And your answer is wrong 🙂 🙂
If I boot from disk 1 and add an event to disk 2 the event is on the root level of the disk.
If I boot from disk 2 the event obviously is still on the root level and not in Users/me/Movies where it needs to be.So an application is needed in the startup items which moves all events/projects from the current boot drive’s root into the current users folder and move all events/projects from other drives which are in user folders to the root level.

It’s not only about just to add the plugin at the new workstation — it has to be exactly the same path!!
In case you install it correctly no new edit needs to be done.-Andreas

Glad you managed it.
I think the few bucks for Motion 5 everybody should spend.
With Motion it would have been just a few seconds to change the title. You just have to delete the Drop Zone and save.-Andreas

In older versions of FCE (I don’t know about the latest one) you can import XML, though there is no menu entry or any mention of this in the manual.
Drag the XML with “force open” cmd-option to the FCE icon.-Andreas

James,
Don’t understand your point.
I didn’t had an answer – true.
But I had just an advice to have not same thing happen twice.Probably Jonathan has tried the common procedures like data recover and/or searching for the files.
Obviously without success. So you can leave him either alone with his question or give him some advice – like making a backup.
And what I forgot: send some feedback to Apple.Anyway – let’s stop here.

Do you have an answer?
So why not post it.It was just a recommendation how to setup workflow next time to prevent things like described happening.

I’ve no idea how to help or why this happened.
But next time you should make a backup of your cards – as it is recommended here a thousand times.-Andreas

Okay,
But the workflow you described has “too many” steps 😉
Here what would be mine.
Export the whole project as FXPXML.
Open the XML with XTE and save.
Open the saved STL in Jubler. It’s just a few seconds.
With XTE you also can control subs by their role. This makes it easy to control different languages. Also time collisions are handled.-Andreas

Some other solutions.
If you got “pre-rendered” titles use EDL-X
https://xmil.biz/EDL-X/EDL-X.shtmlWith standard “typed-in” titles you can use my XTE to convert a FXCPXML to STL. It comes as free app with my TitleExchange.
