Not sure what the term is but most properties seem to start counting at 0. Keyframes start at 1?</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll have a closer look thanks. Using k&#8211; with nearestKey was a breakthrough for me 🙂 Finally got over that hurdle!</p>

<p>I want to offset text values just like you can do in After Effects, then use a linear field to reveal the final text.</p>
<p>I assume you can do this with xpresso but my knowledge is quite limited.</p>
<p>Could anyone offer some pointers?</p>

<p>Man, I&#8217;m so sick of this. First day working on my new rig with a new Intel i9 and I can&#8217;t even get proper playback.</p>

Particular would do that. Not sure about particle world 2.</p>
<p>For me It would take a bit of experimentation to get there.<br />Just in case, if you have an evolution parameter using the posterizeTime expression will give&hellip;</p>

But every time I do a ram preview the first playback will have a .5 second offset, which is VERY irritating <br />Sometimes it will playback wrongly and catch up after a second or so.. <br />It usually <b>plays back correctly the second time</b>, but having to do everything twice is quite annoying. </p>

<p>I have thispreset of an expression  that you could modify to get you started.. using a checkbox to start timeRemap advancing.. <br />With a little bit of tweaking you could get it to turn off starting at a different timecode I suppose.<br />Untill someone comes up with a better (complete) solution</p>

<p>But then I&#8217;m thiking it might not be all that much work either. Obviously one does not make a 3 minute video in a day so there&#8217;s time to polish the moves.<br />Parent the camera to Null.. and move it to the centre of each new Layer, rotating the null for interesting angles.<br />A bit&hellip;</p>

<p>I figure I could use Dan Ebberts &#8220;Triggering Expression With Audio&#8221; or Beat Counter; Say that layer 5 plays once the Threshold has been passed the 5th time&#8230;</p>

<p>A completely different method, that Harry Frank did, (I believe) was just a line, displace it with greyscale gradients distoring the line with Displacement Maps and then using Polar Cordinates to make it a circle. <br />Probably would be a lot slower though.</p>

<p>Make two circles. Top copy I set to 2 points larger than the bottom one.<br />
The bottom one I added a Wiggle Paths. Size 76, Details 86, Smooth Points, 0 frequency (For example..).<br />
And below all that Merge Paths in Add mode.<br />
Lastly a Stroke&#8230;</p>

A circular mask will remain circular, and not turn into an elipse, like if you would have resized the old solid..<br />It&#8217;s ok if you only have a few layers, but if you have lots.. it&#8217;s no the best.</p>
<p>Alternatively, you could use the old solid as a track matte for the new&hellip;</p>
