Offset text character value with field?
Posted by Anders Hattne on March 15, 2024 at 8:24 amHello, I’ve googled but no luck.
I want to offset text values just like you can do in After Effects, then use a linear field to reveal the final text.
I assume you can do this with xpresso but my knowledge is quite limited.
Could anyone offer some pointers?

I try to get something similar using the Delay Effector as in the attached files. I hope this is what you are looking for.

March 15, 2024 at 8:19 pmHi and thanks for taking your time to reply!
I was thinking of the Character Offset function that randomises the characters. I imagine it would take xPresso to do achieve that -

March 16, 2024 at 10:46 amThanks for the clarification! I think I got a similar effect using Cloner with Random Effector. You can use more letters, then in the Cloner, you will limit the number of letters depending on your text, so that you will get more randomness.
