Audio Problem, .5 Second Lag on Playback
Just got a new voice over and am adjusting the animation to it. But every time I do a ram preview the first playback will have a .5 second offset, which is VERY irritating
Sometimes it will playback wrongly and catch up after a second or so..
It usually plays back correctly the second time, but having to do everything twice is quite annoying.Any experience with this?
Preview Settings are set to Cache Before Playback.
Viewer Quality to Faster
Hardware acceleration for display is turned off..
Changing Audio Latency doesn’t seem to do anything.This has been happening since the last updates since a year back.
Is there something I’m missing?Windows 11 i7 processor i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz, 64gb of RAM, RTX 3060.. (human brain on the verge of burn out…)

The problem I doubt it has to do with your computer specs, you have far better specs than my PC which later this year I will need to upgrade it. But I can probably guess that if your hard drive space is full or you have a lot of fragmented files on your computer, you may want to use Disk Cleanup to clean it out and free up as much hard drive space as possible in your computer by transferring a lot of the files from the main drive to a backup drive. My backup drive is 4TB so it helps a lot to move files to there so it does not affect the performance of your applications you use in general, especially After Effects.

Try changing your preview settings to skip some frames. This made a huge difference for me when assembling animations.

I’m back to hearing the audio cut off..
The part I’m lworking with right now, the voice says “sounds good, right?”
And in my previews I get to hear “sounds good”..Man, I’m so sick of this. First day working on my new rig with a new Intel i9 and I can’t even get proper playback.
