remember you can always do you move in primary sequence before nesting the clip.
then you add track matte to the nest container clip.
certainly not ideal…and should be addressable by Adobe.

Since you have your multicam clip in the timeline.
make sure your video strack patches are enabled
AND
your audio track patches are disabled
I use FCP shortcut keys….
but from the beginning of your sequence….
play back and tap CMD K (ctrl K on PC) to the beat as it plays
this will add your edit points to your multicam. by splicing the video track at the beat points.
then go back and keyboard navigate between edits and choose the desired multicam angle.
should be pretty quick that way…

I used to sell Terrablock, but that was in the Pre-“multi user write” era.
I then worked as an editor at a facility using HDV and PPro with a Terrablock and never had any of the speed issues you were talking about.
we routinely worked from the same media.
are there any media types that don’t exhibit the issue?
as a test…
fromt he terrablock see if you can “eshare” out a volume or media folder as a regular network share over ethernet…
then import media via that mount point (in other words the network share, not what looks like the local volume mounted on your desktop)
I’m not suggesting it’s the solution…
but that might tell you if something about the fibre card, adapter or switch is causing an issue.
i know it’s not much…
but it is something to try…
I’d also reach out to Facilis support, they were pretty good as I recall.

What kind of media?
how was it shot?
I heard of some problems with P2, PPro and Terrablock, but this was a couple years ago now…
are you all fibre connected?

If you also grab hold of CS6 tools…I Think you may still be able to do the Speech Anlaysis…
once the metadata (xmp) is associated with the clips…. you could still use the search by speech functions it in current PPro.
My sense is that Adobe discontinued it because it was not very successful. If you have a script to match the voice to (train it), then it worked well. If you were just depending it to transcribe for you, the accuracy was not great.
An alternative that’s still available is : https://www.borisfx.com/Soundbite/
not used it, but it is phoneme based as opposed to dictionary based (Adobe’s implementation).
I don’t know the exact workflow with PPpro, but my guess is that it resides outside of editing to help you find material to bring into the editing environment.

well…I suppose you COULD do that….
but the only way to see the multiview is to enable it via the wrench in the record viewer…
using this pretty much bypasses the source viewer for most multi-cam workflows….
I think you’re thing FCP and PPro handles it a bit differently.

I always find it’s helpful, when possible to begin an editing sequence by creating it based on a piece of media that matches my final output specifications.
720p?
drag a 720p clip to the new items icon.
now you have sequence master that matches those parameters.
