  • Is it necessary to have the preview panel when you are batching?

    turning off might help…

you can create custom layouts to quickly toggle this, I think…

and Bridge can be a bear with fresh media that has been indexed yet.

    no…

you might be able to do this with an Adobe media encoder watch folder.

when frames are exported out of your engine…

then your .BAT will copy the Ppro project to the watch folder

which would then encode and output however you have it set…

The sequence you want to render must be the ONLY sequence in the root of the PPro project panel.

All others should be in bins (folder) in the project panel.

I just tested it and it worked fine for me….

    James…

you can use render and replace on everything, right?

it’s not limited to AE comps specifically, is it?

Effects applied to clips that modify the appearance of the clip in some way beyond it’s normal imported appearance need to be rendered in a way that so that if the clip is imported to resolve the clip looks just they way you had it in PPro.

I’d start by duplicating your final edit in Ppro.

Then in this copy of the timeline, I’d use Premiere Pro’s

Render and Replace feature. This will take the clips in your sequencne with effects and create media set where your soft effects are “baked” or rendered into the media.

    learn about this here:

    https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/render-replace-effects-compositions.html

that’s the sequence you’d then use to generate XML which you’d take to resolve.

    Hi Russell

H264 is generally what we use for our deliverables.

small footprint, good quality, generally compatible.

I guess it would be helpful to know what the playback device would accept and work from there.

    Hi Russel…

I’m not as familiar with European Standards…..So that’s why I had not chimed in….

But essentially you want to choose an HDTV sequence.

I’d guess a 1080 preset running at an appropriate frame rate.

the fact that it’s a slide show really makes no difference. in this way of working you will still be creating a video file at the end of the day.

    Hi…

how sophisticated do you want to get with this?

there are a ton of templates available from sources like

    Pond5.com

for slide shows that work great in After Effects.

    Might be worth a look.

I’d also consider batch processing the images to a more video friendly resolution as raws from DSLR can be many more pixels (Width x Height) than HD video.
