Hi Milton…
certainly. The deafault screen layout in Premiere Pro may not expose this column in the project panel.
So spending a bit of time optimizing the panel sizes might help.here is a link to some info about customizing the layout of PPro: ://tinyurl(dot)com/26ajtzh
Additionally, the columns in the project panel can be rearranged so that you can see your information by your preferred order of relevance (left to right) in the project panel.

Once you get things organized in as you like, you can also save a custom layout so that you can always pull this configuration up quickly.

If you have Creative Suite, I’ll assume you already have Premiere Pro, so I can’t see the harm in giving it a go before you spend money on an additional platform.
What version of CS are you running?
How much ram do you have?
How are your video assets typically acquired? (format, resolution, compression type)?
Are you already an editor or do you have video editing experience on any particular platform?Knowing this will help…

What are the Data Rate ranges with PNG codec?
Will it playback without a hefty RAID?

As I recall….you can sort by any column you’d like per bin.
Clip name may be the default.you could alternatively choose Media start as your sort.

When you say “clips” you import.
Do the same clips work fine in one type of project, but not DV?
or are you rendering different types of clips for each project type?
