    try this…

    1) make a color moatte in your project panel
    2) edit it to you main seq…
    3) Add markers to it…
    4) then cut and paste it into your PSD nest

    that’s not too bad

Here is a bit of a tedious workaround.

    1) Don’t edit your PSD seq into your main seq
    2) Edit your main seq as a nested layer into your PSD Seq.
    3) Now you’ll see the markers from your main seq as clip markers in your PSD.
    4) Optionally you can match these and add them as timeline markers in the PSD seq.
    5) edit your PSD animations as normal
    6) Remove your main SEQ nested clip from the PSD SEQ timeline
    7) Now edit the PSD seq timeline into your main timeline as a nested clip.

    not fun….but can be done

    Wow…interesting…

a .Prproj is an XML file?

What would stop you from opening it in a text editor?

    Anything?

Wasn’t paying attention yesterday when you said you were on mac.

I routinely add short cuts to “places” on the Mac so I can get to drilled down folders quickly from any finder window or file dialog….

    huge time saver….

    scroll down in the audio…

I think it’s there but it’s added it at a lower track.

    Hey Steven…

I don’t know all the details of what you are trying to accomplish…

but your conclusion leads me to believe you could think of XML this way:

one master media set (not color corrected)

    2 different editing platforms.

Choose one of those to editing platforms for finishing (grading, final audio, etc)

    Divide the work.

One does offline and can pass the XML to the other

where it can be conformed and finished.

I guess the simpler way to say that is one box is only for offline and the other is for offline and online.

is that sort of the conclusion you came to?

    Erick…

I’m not sure if sarcasm was intended or not. If so, wow….thanks for the can of whoop ass. I was really hungry this morning. 😉

I really wasn’t trying to be a smart ass.

You mentioned that it was common. So I’m thinking part of a library that was common across many projects and then not necessarily something that you’d delete at the end of a project.

You also mentioned lots of repetitive clicks to get to the same location.

This was not meant as some an implication that you don’t know your way around your respective OS.

Sometimes, people, myself included, don’t consider the OS level solutions to problems and look for applications specific things.

I hope Adobe listens to your requests and that you achieve the smoothness in your workflow that you desire.

Maybe make a shortcut to the path of the file and place that in the Media Folder or on the desktop, somewhere you can get to in a couple of clicks?
