well…my guess is that due to new 64 architecture of CS5 old ones aren’t gonna work. can’t speak for cs5 ae plugs in ppro cs5 though.

a temporary workaround might be to do the effect in AE.

are u running Production Premium or just the separate apps?

I am curious to what impact you think the MXO is playing in this?

If you are delivering files, there may be some sort of level or gamma modifications necessary at some stage of production or encoding that would be a fairly simple fix for this…

AE is the tool for this.

My friend does “ribbon” graphics for sports arenas all the time.

I can’t help with the hold frame except that maybe you could map keyboard shortcut to access that.

as far as the interval:

what if you make a black video clip in the project panel and set it’s duration to the interval you need….

then cut it onto track 2.

then you can quickly jump from edit to edit and in the black video and use Ctrl K to chop your source.

then you just remove the elements off track 2.

Well sort of.

Quicktime as a media container can be used as source media in all types of content creation tools.

That is a cool feature not readily available in other workflows.

I think Vince had suggested to throw all clips on a timeline in PPro.

then 1 by 1 in the sequence, select each clip and nest it, this creates a seqeuenc in the project pane for that clip.

then you can add all those nest sequences to AME.

Does that work?

MJPEG B or Animation typically work pretty well for transcode source

Keith do you have the FCP suite?

If so, you have Compressor.

Export from PPro via some lossless method then use a Compressor droplet to do the conversion.
