    Hello all!

I have a client who I have been recording HD footage for for years. This client is going to a convention where we will need a promotional piece for a 64 x 272 LED screen (Yes, you read that right).

How IN THE WORLD do I either:

    A. Setup a file in that size in PPro (preferably) or
    B. Setup and export from a normal HD project in a way that accomplishes the above resolution and doesn’t add any extra “black” around the area that should be cropped to.

If curious, my layout will be as such: Logo | HD FOOTAGE | Text

    Thanks, experts!!

It might be easier to conform in After Effects instead.

AE is the tool for this.

My friend does “ribbon” graphics for sports arenas all the time.

PPro will set up a sequence of any frame size and rate.

Set up a custom sequence setting in “desktop” mode. Then verify what filetype the playback app needs and exprt it.

I work with all sorts of odd framesizes in PPro. I think this type of work is one area where PPro shows particular prowess over its competitors.

AE can certainly do the job as well…no question. But if PPro is what you’re most comfortable with, I can’t see a reason not to use it.

Thanks everyone! I ended up using After Effects.

Out of curiosity, I have CS3. Is there a desktop editing mode for that version? I can’t find it anywhere.

    Peace,
    Justin.
