Cut a Video at regular Intervals and hold on in point
Hi,
I’m working on a project where I need to cut a video at regular intervals and hold at the in point at the cut. I would like to find an automated way of doing this.
Currently I enable ‘Hold Frame’ at ‘In Point’ and then proceed to manually cut the clip at regular intervals. This gives a time lapse effect.
Is there another more efficient way of doing this? or is there a quick way to chop up a clip into equal intervals and hold on the in point at the cut point?
Any help would be appreciated.

I can’t help with the hold frame except that maybe you could map keyboard shortcut to access that.
as far as the interval:
what if you make a black video clip in the project panel and set it’s duration to the interval you need….
then cut it onto track 2.
then you can quickly jump from edit to edit and in the black video and use Ctrl K to chop your source.
then you just remove the elements off track 2.

Thanks for the infor it was very useful. Delayed reply I know, late nights for along time.
For anybody else that might stumble across this, you can use the Posterize time effect too. It gives you less control but is quick and fast.
