    Jan..

Yeah I was hoping to avoid actually having to process the footage with fx…

and just setting up a view LUT so that the data is preserved, but viewed accurately…

    still checking on this…

Tim…we are saying the same thing….you said it much more verbosely.

It takes longer than 1/30th of a second to draw the frame. (due to the technical reasons you cited)

So the method of counting frames to stay accurately within real time hours, minutes, seconds and frames, numbers are periodically skipped (or more precisely dropped) from the tally.

So this works out (when averaged) to 29.97 fps.

but there is NEVER a case where a frame is only .97 drawn.

    that’s what I was saying.

so we agree on the question is…why would this have an affect on WEB output?

    Thanks Mark!

    good to know.

How does the 4870 and 5870 handle HD?

the Gforce 8800 GT we’re using crawls unless I do a lot of pre-baking.

Technically isn’t the frame rate the same?

Isn’t 29.97 short hand for “drop frame time code?” which is a method of counting frames, not a method of drawing them?

I’m assuming that you simply want to view it as correct color, but not change that data itself?

That would mean a view LUT of sorts….hmmmm

    anyone?

    Hey Martin…

Just setting the Comp background color in AE doesn’t mean it’s not transparent.

    1) Either add a Solid behind the text in AE (can’t tell from your pic if there is one)
    or
    2) Add a color matte on the layer beneath the dynmaic linked clip in in PPro.

February 15, 2011 at 1:51 pm in reply to: How do you move ALL volume keyframes in a track?

Remember that in PPro, you can set audio keyframes at either the clip level or track level.

Clip level keyframes will ripple with the clips, but also get deleted when you delete a clip

Track level keyframes will don’t ripple automatically, but remain regardless of the clip content on the track.

  • hmmmm…

what if you nest the clips in the PPro timeline, than then render in the nested timeline…

    ?
