hmmmm…
as bridge is, or has been, greatly extensible by flash….
and adobe controls FLV….this would explain native FLV support.This would be acceptable for generating proxies in FLV via AME for the Acct exec teams to browse…
but it worries me for the future.FLV doesn’t feel like a future proof format, particularly considering the moves away from flash in the mobile space.
MP4 seems like a safer overall bet.
I’d hate to build a proxy library in FLV only have to build it again MP4….

How about…
What single seat subscription of Adobe software would also give me access to Bridge?
do I have to sign up for PPro CC so I can have access to say Bridge and Prelude? I could probably make that case to mgmt if I could sell it as a CC for teams subscription.
I think what’s more than a little frustrating is for Adobe to promote a workflow pipeline, but not be clear on methods of implementing it.
I suspect that part of the problem is that for Bridge to have all the capabilities implemented, (audio, video, and print) it actually ties into pieces of all the other main suite products. That’s why they don’t seem offer it as a stand alone without other apps.
we’ll get there….it’s only a mater of time….

you are best to “rename” the folder that the LT material is in temporarily….
ad an underscore or something…
that should force it all to look for the h264’s…

Is there anything stopping you from copying and pasting your work from PPro to AE and completing the work as you describe?
If you think of the editing interface as the best way for you to sequence your content and AE as the best way to finish your process…
it’s all just media objects in the end and using the right tool for the right manipulation….
just cuz your cutting in Ppro doesn’t mean your locked in there….

Adobe’s adding a new component to it called Prelude Live logger for metadata capture via ipad.
So I think it’s got some legs to it….

Without video playback…..
it’s kind of moot for us as the TV arm of an ad agency….

If you have multiple clips per camera….then the cameras were roaming and not continuous takes? which means no overlap in the shots per camera, right?
If so all those could be collapsed to an individual video track.
so you will end up….probably via copy and paste…
with one multi-cam source seq with 4 tracks….(one per camera)
and on each track contains clips for where the camera was on and gaps for where the camera was off…
in your multi cam viewer…any time any camera was not active (gap) you will see black….
make sense?

The other thing to note in terms of performance….
DV is a significantly simpler codec for your computer to process compared to the more modern flavors probably used by your camera to capture the data. Newer codes are many times more efficient, but that means they require that much more horsepower to simply display.
So it’s not just as simple as looking at the number of pixels in a frame…
