Thanks for the response. I was not able to use Mocha as this is RED footage and I don’t have the latest update for it. Was just wondering if anyone could decipher a decent tracking point from the image as AE motion track keep slipping after a few frames. However I have since discovered that tracking points work well if you use a contrast of colour inside your track point. Therefore I have used the very corner of the knife blade on the left side where the colouring is black on red and has seemed to have worked quite well!

Apologies..I am going to upload a longer clip now which hopefully highlights the problem better. The video was shot on a Canon 7D – 1920×1080 (H264) which I then converted to Apple Pro-res LT.

Hi Dave,

I have tried trapcode shine but can only seem to get the effect to work within the boundaries of the composition and not not spill outside it. Would you have any idea of how to do this?

Thanks for the help guys! Sorry if I wasn’t too clear, my colleague just asked me to find a solution to the problem without really explaining it properly!

Basically it turns out that we need export the videos as mp4 files through compressor so was wondering if anyone could recommend the best video settings for quality/speed?

Thank you for the response. Yeah I was kind of guessing there wouldn’t be an easy way out! It’s pretty tricking trying to animate something you can’t see, but keeping it simple and its starting to come along nicely!
