The second method using pan/crop worked beautifully. I had tried this previously but had not said “no” in the screen stretch. I can now talk to myself very convincingly. Thanks again.

The only difference in Movie studio is that in capture Mode you select Options, Preferences, then Disk Management to set your hard drive option to your D: drive (or whatever>)

You can enlarge the events on the time line by placing your cursor on the bottom line of the video header, on the left, end dragging it down. You can also expand your timeline widthwise by clicking on the + sign below the timeline.
You can also undock the preview window by putting your cursor on the six vertical dots on the left hand edge of the preview window. Hold the button down while dragging it to the right then upwards.

I don’t know about a DVD tutorial but for version 6 of Vegas I have been using the book “Vegas 6 Revealed – by Doug Sahlin,” ISBN 1592009719 which I bought via Amazon.com. I think there is a version 5 also. It is a great book based on a step by step project based approach which teaches you just about every trick in the book at your own speed.. It doesn’t cover DVD Architect though. I have almost worked my way through it and I am a lot wiser about the program.
