That’s the only one I’ve got! It works perfectly when I input video from a tape in my VX2100. In fact, when trying the aforementioned transfer I tried pressing the play button on the VX2100 and it captured that tape instead of the one from the analogue camcorder.

Looks very interesting although a bit adventurous for me. Instead I have used the pan control to enlarge the clips just enough to cut off the time display, and then sharpened them a little. Being an analogue video copied in from a VCD means that the quality was not brilliant anyway so I don’t think I have lost too much definition by enlarging them by about 10 or 15%. This seemed the simplest way after I had thought about it. Any comments?

It didn’t work before because I brought the clips in as links rather than as clips. I now know what to do, I hope. Anyway the film is now on DVD and all is well.

Just to say I deleted and reinserted the clips and, miracle of miracles, it worked! Why the previous set failed I have no idea.

I’m still not with it. When I double click on any menu option the IN point is still where it was for the previous menu. If I move it to the appropriate chapter start then the previous menu setting is lost and that starts at the setting for the next chapter and so on. I know I’ve got this right before but for some reason it’s not happening now! In other words the IN OUT section only seems to work for the last menu. I’m off to bed now here in the UK and hope that you can let me have a simple solution to this problem for tomorrow morning. I really do appreciate your help

Sorry to appear foolish, but I have tried double clicking on each button in turn and setting the in and out points. However, when I preview the movie whichever button I press it goes to the last set of in and out points, completely ignoring the earlier ones. Am I missing out a step somewhere? It is one large file by the way. Thanks again.

I have resolved the problem. The vf file did finally load after a long, long search of its files, but was unusable as it was too slow to react to any editing. I therefore rendered the file and saved the rendered file as a new vf file. This loaded quickly and I can complete the editing from that. Fortunately I had completed the video editing leaving just titles and music to add.
