I am having trouble manipulating transitions. Can I do something to the timeline so I can see them better. When I put a transition up, I can not see it, and therefore I can not delete them.

Can I increase the size of the video preview window?

Not exactly sure what you mean… overlap two clips and you have a transition (crossfade). Remove the overlap and the transition goes away. That’s all there is to it. The larger the overlap, the longer the transition.

If you want something besides a crossfade, create a crossfade and drag the desired transition onto the crossfade. Once again, to get rid of it simply remove the overlap.

You can enlarge the events on the time line by placing your cursor on the bottom line of the video header, on the left, end dragging it down. You can also expand your timeline widthwise by clicking on the + sign below the timeline.

You can also undock the preview window by putting your cursor on the six vertical dots on the left hand edge of the preview window. Hold the button down while dragging it to the right then upwards.
