Graeme is right, NTSC plays fine here downunder where PAL rules,
however all newish players and TVs accept NTSC.
Send a test and save headaches, BUT the res is not as good as PAL, so you may want to consider future workflowsCheers

Not true,
The GL1 shoots video @ 720×480. What you see on the sides (the black bars) is the overscan area, which this camera leaves black, but DON’T crop as you don’t see this overscan on TV.Cheers

The media that you are sharing will be in the codec that the origional capture was in.
If you change the settings in another FCP time-line, this media will need to be rendered to the new settings.
Looks to me that you have DV media, and both FCP systems are set the same, so no rendering required.Cheers

After your are happy with your audio levels in FCP (listen to your time-line playing into a tv), you need to set your AC3 encoder to -31 dBFS, this preserves the audio levels set in FCP.
