sorted. just for future reference, what was the problem and how did this software sort it out? (i dont need you to write me a manual, but i like to know basically what the issue is, so im not just pressing buttons and hoping it all comes together in the end. my drives have had a lot of media running over them in the last 2 years… maybe i need to overhaul?)

it is strange that it cant be as simple as selecting a group of keyframes, copying and pasting. It is such a matter of habit to work like this in AE… weird that you have to go through extra steps in such an established application… ???

hi jerry yes.. this was the process i have been working to… export straight to .avi, no compression.
i only re imported the file to check if frames were dropped by comparing with the original.
still haven’t solved this problem.

what does the footage look like in playback using this?
i have been doin a lot of NTSC to PAL lately with animation, and the best solution i could come up with wa to render the final movie out of an After Effects project set with PAL settings. The truck ins and camera moves were a problem, as the dropped frames became obvious, so i rendered these with frame blending on. this fixes the camera movs, however, its not ideal for fast movement. looks a little like slight morion blur.

me too. the problem has got worse. the drive only spins for about 2 secs now before it shuts down.
how do i make these changes to the OS?
