i am exporting an an animated sequence from a timeline with no compression. (25fps, 640 x 448 anamorphic)
    the scenes are animation codec.

    this is for a game.

it has been requested that i export this sequence as an uncompressed avi, which i am doing through QuickTime conversion.

the exported movie is 1.3GB, so i expected the playback to be a bit dodgy, but it seems that the movie has dropped frames during export.

i reimported the movie into my project and placed it on top of the sequence i exported it from and reduced the opacity, so i could see if there were any dropped frames. the movie has dropped frames at irregular intervals.

any idea why this is happening and how i can overcome this problem? i have been testing different exporting processes but haven’t been able to avoid the problem when i convert to avi?

    thanks in anticipation!

Odd indeed. You’re sure that it’s not dropping frames during playback only?

The best workflow I can think of would be to export the sequence directly to avi… that intermediate step isn’t necessary and theory would state you lose something doing it… Don’t change any frame rates or size at all. if it’s large so be it…

hi jerry yes.. this was the process i have been working to… export straight to .avi, no compression.

i only re imported the file to check if frames were dropped by comparing with the original.

    still haven’t solved this problem.
