  • no file file extentions?

Posted by Alex on December 15, 2006 at 7:03 am

hello, i have recently upgraded to FCp 5.1 and QTime 7.1.3. Since this time, any files I export from FCP with Quicktime conversion, come out the other end with no file extentions. This has become problematic, as the clients i send files to cannot recognise my files. i have been forced to add the extentions on manually after export. (yes… very time consuming).
i have looked in QTime preferences, but cant seem to find a setting to fix this problem.

does anyone know how i can fix this?

    thanks in anticipation!

Go to Finder>Preferences>Advanced. Make sure the “show all file extentions” box is checked.
