The Universal version of particleIllusion 3.0 for Mac has been out for several months.
The AE plug-in should be released by the end of the year.

No, you won’t be able to specify the DPI value in pI3. But you can always use another app to change the value to whatever you want after the image is rendered.

That’s exactly it. You need to add leading zeros to the sequence number, so all the images have the same number of digits.

We’re finishing up docs and the new installer, and that will go to the beta testers in the next few days, then assuming that turns up no problems, we’ll release it. So could be late this week, but most likely next week.
If you are a registered 3.0 for Windows owner and want to help with this final beta version (test the full install, etc.) email wondertouch support right away.

I think if you look at the options under the color gradient you’ll see the answer. You’re probably set to “random color” instead of “use full gradient”.

There’s a bug in pIllusion 3.0.1a Windows that writes the wrong DPI value into the PNG files. So you either need to save in a different format (TGA maybe?) or load the PNGs into some app that allows you to change the DPI values.
Or wait until 3.0.2 is released.

Sorry for the slow response!
We are planning on releasing a new set of Emitters for Motion at some time (after 3.0.2 and the AE plugin too).
If you’re talking about the Pro Emitters, most of those will never be available for Motion, since Motion’s particle system can’t duplicate them.

Might be late this week, but probably next week. There are some OpenGL issues that some of the beta testers are having and we’re trying to figure out if they are driver-related or if they’re our fault. =)

Open the emitter properties dialog. Get to the “change shape” page, select the shape you want to export, and click the little button below the window that looks like a floppy disc (a standard but somewhat outdated “save” icon).
