shoot it on black and then when you’re comping it – use ‘screen’ transfer mode

if you need this to stay in AE – might be worth finding stock footage or filming it yourself and comping it in

  • you don’t need to use trapcode particular to generate the particles – you can use sprites. just animate your balloon in another comp, render it out, and feed this into particular by selecting ‘Custom’ in your particles. you can set this also to select a random place in time so they aren’t all moving the same…

as for making them interact with eachother – maybe you should use particular for the main clump of balloons – then manually animate a few balloons colliding so it looks a little more real…

the easiest way is to use CC sphere to create the text moving around in a sphere.

Once you’ve done this, create two layers —> one with CC sphere set to ‘render front’ and the other set to ‘render back’

Place your girl in between these two layers. If you haven’t shot this on green/blue screen – you’ll need to rotoscope the girl out.

You’re right, editing is best done in an editor, not AE. The best workflow is as you’re suggesting; edit your clips, with your speed ups, then bring it over to AE for compositing.

” I think this is the hardest part then compositing them to the pic and make so that cloths look like well wet on points of contact with particles”

i wouldn’t attempt trying to make the cloths look wet on contact points with particles. you’ll be there for a squillion years, and then some.
