Okay, what I’d like to do then is get some 3rd party software for OS X that allows it to read AND write to NTFS or FAT32 volumes. What software can do this?

I have another question now: When I play a clip that’s marked orange in the timeline using dynamic settings, the studio monitor doesn’t play along with the Viewer. Is this unavoidable?

Thanks for the input. The problem was that I had “Show Excess Luma” enabled.

This is happening with both 1080i and 720p sequences that have the sequences matched to the easy setups. The codec is DVCProHD. What’s happening is during playback it displays what’s in the timeline/canvas, but when stopped it switches over to whatever is in the viewer….

This looks like the best option since I need the features it offers without the need for a full mixer. Can I connect 110ohm digital XLRs for all 8 channels into the Big Knob using 1/4″ adapters? Also, are 110Ohm cables required or will standard 75Ohm cables work?

Answered my own question, I saw the DeckLink card here:
https://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/hdlink/quality/
and thought it was an expansion card required for the HDLink. Yeah!

Anyway, I’m still curious if there’s a workaround to use the extra slot….
