I’m setting up an external LaCie 250GB Triple Interface drive as a media storage for video clip logging between OS X and XP. I formatted the drive as NTFS and it shows up on the desktop when plugged in to the G5, and it can read files from the drive, but I can’t copy files to the drive. Anyone know why?

Okay, what I’d like to do then is get some 3rd party software for OS X that allows it to read AND write to NTFS or FAT32 volumes. What software can do this?

    Hi,
If you format the drive as FAT32, you’ll be able to read and write with both Mac and PC.
Performance will be less than HFS+ (Mac) or NTFS (PC).

    Hope this helps.
