I’m sure it will go great, but if the Io pulls any prima-dona routines, or doesn’t like it’s trailer or the craft services, just threaten to unplug it.

Hi-

We have a 1.1.1 KONA 2 driver that is due for release early next week. This driver completes our FCP5 and Tiger compatibility, as well as numerous bug fixes and more.

We will post here when the driver is on our site ready for download.

Hi-

We do not currently recommend OSX 10.4 Tiger for the Io. We will have a new v2.0 driver, probably being released next week, that will be compatible. In the meantime, AJA Video recommends that our customers stay on OS 10.3.8 until full stability testing on the release version of Tiger is complete.

I will leave the quality reviews of our upconversion to the good folks here on the board, but let me say the KONA 2’s 10-bit hardware upconvert can be applied to any or all inputs and/or outputs, during digitze or playback.

Hi Mark-

The Io drivers and the Control panel are separate pieces of software, so yes, you can install just the Control Panel app. This would then allow you to operate FCP and the Io Control Panel at the same time.
