Yes, the Io (including the Io LA and Io LD) will work just fine on any G5, and can even used on late model dual proc G4’s!

Hi,

You installed the Premiere Pro Trial copy from Adobe? If so, this is not supported nor tested with XENA…and I believe does not offer full functionality, so therefore may not fully support XENA’s capabilties and software as well.

Hello,

Yes, you can take DV (PAL) and use in a SD timeline with a XENA, with no rendering. This also means that you can combine any supported SD file format in the same timeline (as long as it is PAL), and get our RT performance, depending on card and configuration.

Hi,

We do not support the DVCPRO-HD codec.

The XENA LH, with the new v2 software, supports uncompressed AVI and QuickTime, TGA, TIFF, BMP, Cineon, and DPX. Within Premiere Pro 2.0, we also support realtime HDV playback. All of these supported file formats (of the same raster) can be mixed and matched in a single timeline, with RT color FX and color correction, with no rendering!

Hello,

VTR Xchange does indeed capture timecode. Are you connected to a deck via RS-422, and performing a “Capture” in VTR Xchange?

You must perform a “Capture” because RS422 doesn’t work like firewire – you’ve got to have active control to get code. If you set in and out points and do a “Capture” instead of “Capture Now” (if that’s what you are doing) you will get code.
