Final Cut Pro 7 was a legacy software when the AJA Io XT product began shipping and therefore only a limited amount of presets were provided. Users may feel free to make any additional Easy Setups that they would like by using the provided Easy Setups as a starting point.
If you have questions about creating new Easy Setups that are specific to the AJA hardware, please feel free to contact AJA Technical Support via phone or email for assistance.

Based on your ENG-style Panasonic camera and your use of the Anton Bauer battery system, you might consider mounting the Ki Pro Mini like a wireless microphone behind the Anton Bauer battery. Anton Bauer makes a variety of wireless microphone mounting plates that can be used in combination with their battery plates to essentially “wrap around” the battery. You can see an example of the Anton Bauer mounting plate for this pictured on a Panasonic camera on Anton Bauer’s website here:
https://antonbauer.com/Products/ABWMKKITThese Anton Bauer plates can then be used in combination with the optional Ki Pro Mini Mounting Plate. The Ki Pro Mini Mounting Plate has slots on it that emulate a wireless microphone holder. Simply screw the appropriate screws into the Anton Bauer wireless mic plate and then you will be able to slide the Ki Pro Mini with attached Mounting Plate onto these screws. This will make it easy to mount and remove the Ki Pro Mini as desired. To power the Ki Pro Mini, you could elect to use the Anton Bauer PowerTap receptacle on your Anton Bauer battery plate and a PowerTap (P-Tap) to 4-pin XLR adapter cable, such as this one:

The Canon C100 HDMI output is 1080i, but you may have the Ki Pro Mini configured to extract 23.98 progressive from the 1080i. This configuration may be impacting your HDMI monitoring. HDMI monitors will only accept 1080i, 720p or 1080p, not PsF and some monitors do not always switch cleanly when moving between formats.
If you have not already done so, please feel free to contact AJA Technical Support via phone or email to review your configuration.

The Ki Pro products require 48kHz 24-bit audio. If you are using Final Cut Pro 7, you can use the application to export 24-bit audio when exporting your QuickTime movies.
In order to help clarify the creation of QuickTime files for use with Ki Pro, here are some basic guidelines:
– For applications that can export QuickTime movie files (such as Final Cut Pro 7, Compressor, QuickTime 7 Pro, etc.), choose the appropriate Compressor type – Apple ProRes 422 (Proxy), Apple ProRes 422 (LT), Apple ProRes 422 or Apple ProRes 422 (HQ); for screenings, using Apple ProRes 422 or Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) for best quality would be recommended.
– Set the frame rate for the exported material to match the source material/edit/timeline: 23.98, 24, 25 or 29.97 fps for 1080p material, 25 or 29.97 for 1080i material and 50 or 59.94 fps for 720p material.
– Most QuickTime export tools will allow the user to define whether the material is interlaced or whether it is progressive. If you are in a 59.94Hz region, HD interlaced material will be top field first and SD interlaced material will be bottom field first. In a 50Hz region, HD and SD are both top field first if interlaced. If material is not interlaced, do not select any interlaced options and the material will be tagged as progressive.
– Size is determined by pre-determined standards for NTSC, PAL and HD raster sizes. Select the one that is appropriate for your material. 1920×1080 for 1080 HD or 1280×720 for 720 HD or 720×486 for NTSC SD or 720×576 for PAL SD.
– Sound Settings should be as follows:
Format: Linear PCM
Channels: Stereo (L R) or 2 Discrete Channels (either is acceptable)
Rate: 48.000 kHz
Render Settings: Best
Linear PCM Settings, Sample size: 24 bits, Little Endian– Remember that to be visible to the AJA Ki Pro, an Apple ProRes 422 QuickTime file needs to be placed in the Ki Pro Storage Module folder named “AJA.”

The KONA LH was a PCI card. The KONA LHe was a PCIe card. Both versions are now end-of-life. The last driver version offered for these cards is v9.1 which provides support for the Snow Leopard and Lion OS versions, but not the Mountain Lion OS.
