Canon C100 > Ki-Pro Mini > monitor

January 2, 2013 at 9:29 pmI have the KPM recording 1080p 24fps from my Canon C100 HDMI out. I have a 7′ monitor on the HDMI output of the KPM. I can monitor the camera, I can playback clips from the camera’s built-in cards, but when I try to monitor clips recorded on the KPM, I can’t see them. I’ve tried setting 1080p playback to both progressive & pst, no difference.

January 15, 2013 at 5:30 pmThe Canon C100 HDMI output is 1080i, but you may have the Ki Pro Mini configured to extract 23.98 progressive from the 1080i. This configuration may be impacting your HDMI monitoring. HDMI monitors will only accept 1080i, 720p or 1080p, not PsF and some monitors do not always switch cleanly when moving between formats.
If you have not already done so, please feel free to contact AJA Technical Support via phone or email to review your configuration.
