September 2, 2011 at 12:38 am in reply to: IO Express – What slot for PCI card?

You should be able to use the AJA PCIe card for the Io Express in virtually any PCIe slot on your machine. The KONA cards, as you noted, have more specific slot placement requirements.

If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact AJA Technical Support for assistance via phone or email, Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm PST.

August 30, 2011 at 12:13 am in reply to: Avoiding a “Loop” with a Ki-Pro

What you have described in your post is somewhat unclear. It sounds like you might be routing the SDI output of the switcher to the SDI input of the Ki Pro as well as routing the SDI output of the Ki Pro to the SDI input of the switcher; this would create a feedback loop as you would have an E-to-E state during record or idle on the Ki Pro (not dissimilar to a VTR). You cannot disable the SDI output of the Ki Pro; you may need to reconsider the signal routing for your configuration.

Please consider contacting AJA Technical Support for assistance with your signal routing to and from the Ki Pro via phone or email between 9am and 5pm PST, Monday through Friday. They will be happy to help.

August 16, 2011 at 6:48 pm in reply to: VTR Xchange late start

An HD Animation codec file might require more bandwidth than an internal SATA drive on the MacPro may provide; this might be why you see the video stall before the edit. If you have an external disk array with higher bandwidth, you might consider trying the process with the file on that disk array.

To help resolve the matter, please consider contacting AJA Technical Support via phone or email, Monday through Friday between 9am and 5pm PST.
