The AJA KONA LHe can be configured for realtime downconversion of 720p to SD.

February 28, 2012 at 5:19 pm in reply to: AJA io XT Monitor ahead of FCPX

Apple refers to the broadcast monitoring support added to Final Cut Pro X version 10.0.3 as beta.
    https://www.apple.com/finalcutpro/software-update.html
AJA also identifies the driver version that provides broadcast monitoring support for Final Cut Pro X as beta. Some behaviors, as you describe, may occur when using software features or drivers designated as beta.

    Bret,

In your case, using an LHe, an older HP xw8600 will actually work better. Newer motherboards have not been certified for use with the LHe. So if you have acess to an xw8600, use it. If you prefer to buy a newer HP, you’ll want to upgrade to a KONA LHe Plus, KONA LHi, Or KONA 3G

  • Support for DNx on Ki Pro Mini will arrive with the next firmware update. Some confusion stems from the fact that Ki Pro version 3.0 firmware was first demonstrated at IBC and support for Avid DNx was announced at that tradeshow as well. Support for DNx was always planned for a subsequent release, not for the version 3.0 release. Look for DNx support in the next firmware release.
