    Didn’t know if anyone else has experienced this but since installing 10.2.X, i’ve had constant Kernel Panics. Here is something in the log I found interesting:

    Kernel Extensions in backtrace:
    com.aja.iokit.kona3(10.2)[B99C0900-4C7F-4C59-9BC9-DF9FA161D2D1]@0x1fed000->0x20bafff
    dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOSerialFamily(10.0.5)[1D39E1D9-2E05-45E1-AB0D-07CB38451900]@0xe99000
    dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOStreamFamily(1.1.0)[104A00C6-5E50-4B1B-A780-1B98ED399ACF]@0xc6a000
    dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily(2.6.7)[82A51E17-453D-40F5-BF0E-DD89598C76DB]@0xb04000

    dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOGraphicsFamily(2.3.2)[26D3FB6E-BBEB-

    Don’t know if this points to the KONA3 as being at fault or what.

    Since version 10.2 X Beta is a beta driver, reporting any issues with the beta to AJA Technical Support is appreciated.

    Please feel free to contact AJA Technical Support and supply them with the System Profile of your machine as well as other information about the operations being performed when this issue occurs.

    Greg.

    I think maybe you are not running the current firmware on the K3 card.

    Have you run the firmware updater in the Aja Util folder?

    I believe I have the latest firmware. It reads ‘2008/17/12’

    When I went to go update it it said I already had the latest version.

    Do you have any other PCI cards in the machine?

    Since updating to 10.2 beta driver, I as well have experienced several kernel panics a day. Running a Kona 3G. The 10.2 update also installed the latest firmware to the card.

    A new driver version, 10.2.1 X Beta, has been released that addresses an issue where some users could experience a kernel panic when using the previous 10.2 X Beta driver version.

    You may find the appropriate driver for your product by visiting:

    If you have questions or need assistance, don’t hesitate to contact AJA Technical Support via phone or email.
