More or less, you can just copy them from the AE 6.5 plug-ins folder to the AE 7 Plug-ins folder, but I wouldn’t suggest it. Many of the plug-ins had to be updated slightly for AE 7, and won’t work properly.
I’d suggest you DL the latest versions and install them.
On the other hand, if they are already at the current version, it should work for most plug-ins.

not in after effects. You’ll need an audio editing program that can speed up the audio file without changing pitch. Adobe AUdition can do this.

also, there are plenty of cheep flash or HTML website templates available out there, that are easy to update and look good.
If you want something unique this isn’t the way to go, but if you’re web chops are poor, it can really save you a lot of trouble.
Truth be told, I design most of my sites in Photoshop and image readdy with slices and then port them into Dreamweaver – save me a lot of trouble.

Sometimes you have to restart AE before pasting from ANY other program works. Happens to me all the time.

The programs are probably not reading the meta data sotred with the video properly – that’s most likely to do with the way it’s being captured – i.e., either your video capture program or the format in which the video is being stored. The truth is there’s any number of reasons it can be happening, but if you know the frame rate – then it’s no big deal.
In both programs you should be able to re-interpret the footage properly.
In AE, right click on the footage in the project window, and from the pop-up choose Interpret Footage.
Then set things properly.
Not sure about how to do it in FCP, but I know it’s possible. You may want to check out the FCP forum or see if anyone else here uses FCP.

There are a couple of ways you can do this – one of which , as mylennium says uses mattes.
So in that case, you’d set it up as follows”
Layer 1: Solid layer with glasses shaped mask
Layer 2: glasses reflection (using above layer as an alpha matte)
Layer 3: Solid layer with Background cut-out shaped Mask
Layer 4: Clouds footage (using above layer as an alpha matte)
Layer 5: Picture of your friendOh, and of course anything else like your glasses glare goes on top of all of that…
Another way you could do it, is put those masks on the footage themselves, so:
Layer 1: Glasses reflection with mask to cut out shape
Layer 2: Picture of Your friend, with a mask cutting out the BG
Layer 3: Clouds BGAnf again, your glare layer goes on top of that.
There are even other ways to do this, with layers in different orders, but this should do you fine.

Unless you make a technical error or do something you didn’t mean to do, they’re not mistakes. They’re choices.
When it comes to the art side of this stuff, we don’t always make the best choices – myself VERY MUCH included – but that’s what the cow is here for. To help. That said, if people don’t like what you did, that’s just their opinion – not a fact.
But it’s good to be as open to change as you are, so lonmg as you don’t let everyone’s opnions make you crazy.

OK – I take it from this post that your looking for advice or opinions – right?
Overall, I like it – though there are few moments hwere it moves too fast for the music and feel of the rest of it.
Mostly though, the mask at the end covers his face, and it hold that way for a long time. Either find a picture where he is centered or lower the vignette’s opacity.
Also, and this is just opinion, the wavy text doesn’t work for me. Keep it simple. Maybe make it drift across the screen, but get rifd f the wave – it just looks CGI and the rest of it feels much more old-school.
