That’s true. It’s always going to be cheeper to use SVCD – however, DVD’s are almost universally compaticle.
Giving people the option to choose is always a good idea – unless they don’t know what they’re doing, when it comes to technology. Then it just spells toruble and more expense for you…

Check out this tutorial:

Again, read the help files – They explain how to do things like this – and they are in a handy tutorial format.

Once you have an emitter on the stage that you like, right-click on the emitter and choose “Add to Library.”
You would do yourself a huge favor if you read the help files, which are tutorials on how to use the program.
All the best,

May 29, 2005 at 7:00 am in reply to: tips and tricks about create new emmiter libraryIt’s been a while since I used poser, but it absolutely has the option for Alpha Channel. Make sure your render settings have alpha channel enabled, and that you’re image format is capable of keeping it – TIFF, TGA, PNG – but not BMP or JPEG.

you could also try playing with the effect called “CC repetile” which can tile or mirror footage. I *believe* there is an option to blend the edges as well, but it’s not perfect.
Generally your image needs to be 2x as wide as it is tall. If you make it a perfect square and the mirror it and expand it to double the size, that might do it.

May 27, 2005 at 7:17 pm in reply to: STALLED EXPORT. FUNNY GLITCH. Do I have a bad file?I’ve had problems like that.
Try this – Create a new comp and then copy and paste evrything into the new comp. See if that works. Also, you could try importing the entire project into a new AE project, and then do the same thing. Sometimes the AE file just gets glitched – these methods have worked for me in desperate times.
If it doesn’t, Are there any keyframes right at that frame, or does a particular image have an in-point our out-point at that frame. If so try removing the image or keyframe, and see if it works.
Also, can you render that one frame alone? If so, and you are truly desperate – render an image sequence in 3 seperate parts – everything up until that frame, That bad frame, and everything afterwards. You can always import them into AE and render the image sequence out as a QT.
On the other hand, if you are rendering an image sequence already, maybe there is a junk file with the same name as that frame, and for some reason it can;t be overwritten – that may casue a problem. Try rendering the sequence with a different name.
I know that’s a lot of info, but It’s really hard to judge the right course of action without knowing more about your problem.
Sorry.

A couple of thoughts – Take them for what thye are worth, which isn’t much.
Make sure your motion tracker is using luminance as the tracking channel (instead of RGB or saturation). You may also want to turn on the adapt feature on every frame.
I have no idea if this could cause the problem, but Is your comp frame rate and the footage frame rate the same? Check in the composition settings, and the interperate footage dialog to see.
Also is the footage interlaced – make sure to turn on “track fields” if it is.
Another thing I can think of is that you aren;t placing your search region well. That’s the outer box. You should place it to focus on where you know the feature you are tracking will be in the next frame. It may be as simple as correcting this every little bit, because it just might be losing the feature it’s looking for.
Also, If there is a lot of motion blur in there, it’s hard to track – and I hate to say this, a lot of motion tracking is correcting tracking errors.
