  • Thanks so much this is definitely a better option for me ????

  • Thanks for your suggestion, although I get the basics, I’m still a beginner using after effects. I haven’t used particles before. What I have done is imported by vector layers in and I was playing around with the “air” layer using the effects and then alpha matte it. Perhaps I could upload or send u my file so that you can see what I’m trying to achieve?

  • It’s more of a motion graphic for a vector diagram.

Hi jerry thanks for this, can you explain a bit more in detail about a clock wipe and how i can do this effect? are there any tutorials around? I am trying to film an object for example a TV and i have and ice sulptured mould of the tv, and i want the real tv to change into the ice TV, the same for various other objects such as a kettle on a worktop.

Hi sorry for not being clear. I hope this helps
    1) I want to know how to create a red button with the text “Press the red button to find out whats your footprint” followed by a glowed red button showing “Loading. please wait”
(this will look like its been pressed)

    2) how can i add my flash file booklet which i have made like this https://www.airmiles.co.uk/flash/welcome/index.htm to appear on the screen with the a blue button that says press here to turn page and green button to go back etc.

the pages of the booklet flip automactically so you dont need to literally press anything to make it move.

    3) a submit box that comes on the screen after my booklet

Thanks for your reply, the glowing effect is good which i was going to use. Let me give you abit more detail , i have created a mini booklet in flash and saved it as a movie file. what i want to do now is add it to the end of my advert that simulates the viewer to make it look like the red button has been pressed and the flash file comes up. I was gona have a glowing redbutton that says something like. “red button loading…” and then the flash file comes up over the video footage. Therefore it looks like an interactive thing. I was considering adding some more “fake” stuff to make it look more authentic like a “submit your email address to find out more” and a box following it.

Thanks for your reply, I am not trying to create an actual real interactive interface. Let me break it down, i have created a mini booklet in flash and saved it as a movie file. what i want to do now is add it to the end of my advert that simulates the viewer to make it look like the red button has been pressed and the flash file comes up. I came across this website that sells some kind of spray that when its heated cracks and turns into ice https://www.stanleysonline.co.uk/product-1360.htm they also sell frost and snow products so im going to try a stop motion tactic by adding little by little and building up the layers then photo my scenes to make a full icing up effect. If you have an easier way let me know too!

Hi i just came across your post, and i wanted to know how i can use this effect to make a melting object made from ice? Take for example a bottle how can i make it look like its melting? i am working on a project where i have made moulds of objects and filled with water to make ice. I then remove the mould and film it melting, however i can only do this with small objects and i want to make a mould of something like a laptop but as i am only a student i cannot afford to have some ice sculpture made.
