Doesn’t work here. The user data doesn’t show up, and I can’t check “thumbnails” because the user data doesn’t show up. It flashes briefly when I click on the object. Using R15.057.

    What thumbnails switch?

No, there is no physics-based collision detection with cmotion, but it does have a built in “surface” option under the cmotion>route tab. Are you already using that? If so that should get you close to where you need to be. You can adjust offsets and other parameters to fine tune it. And if that’s still not getting it, as I mentioned, you can generate steps which allows you to manually position individual footsteps when necessary.

One way to address it would be to generate steps using the CMotion object. That automatically creates targets for each foot/step. The targets can be manually adjusted and the feet will follow them.

You probably need to put a “stick texture” tag on the plane.

The lines indicate the part of your viewport that will render when you render to picture viewer. If you want to get rid of them you can go to the Options menu on top of the viewport, select Configure (or Configure All), and then in the View tab, uncheck “Safe Frames”.

Displacement requires a lot of polygons, whether in the model or via render time subdivision. For games I would imagine that the normal maps would be sufficient. If you want to add the contour detail then you could model in a little detail and combine that with the normal maps.

    Cool.

If you want more of a pure simulation, the way to increase bounce is to jack up a lot of the soft body settings (into the hundreds or thousands of %) and turn off all the damping parameters. You’ll have to increase the substeps in project settings>dynamics>expert to keep the object from exploding. Also turn gravity way down and increase the time step.

You can cache mograph by adding a mograph cache tag to your motext and then clicking the “bake” button.

That said, I don’t see any problems here using motion blur with baked or unbaked motext animation.

Did you cache it before rendering?
